Deadpool 'Joins' Pen15 and More Hulu Original Series

Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are now streaming on Hulu and to celebrate he has "taken over" several Hulu original series.

Posted by Hulu's official Twitter account, Deadpool appears in the background of the poster for the holiday film Happiest Season starring Kristen Stewart, as well as the Hulu original series Normal People and Pen15. "[Deadpool] is now streaming and suddenly thinks he can just...take over??" the streaming service wrote.

While Disney+ is the home for many of Fox's X-Men films, the R-rated Deadpool and Deadpool 2 were added to the Disney-owned Hulu earlier this week, though it was rumored last year that Disney+ might add an adults-only section for R-rated Fox and MGM films. In fact, it was later revealed during The Walt Disney Company's Disney Investor Day 2020 that the streaming service would add a Star/Star+ catalog for users in international markets to access mature content like Family Guy, Logan, Helstrom, The Kingsman and others.

While Deadpool might be inserting himself into several Hulu originals, when audiences will see him in the highly anticipated Deadpool 3 is still unknown. Recently, star Ryan Reynolds provided a vague update on when production might start for the third installment in the Deadpool franchise, which will be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first R-rated film. "Plugging away. I can't really comment right now. Hopefully soon, though," Reynolds said.

Unlike the first two films, which were released by 20th Century Fox, Deadpool 3 will integrate the character into Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe. Reynolds' comments on the production of Deadpool's threequel came after his announcement that he would be taking a break from movies for the foreseeable future. Prior to his hiatus announcement, however, the actor stated that there's a strong chance of Deadpool 3 going into production in 2022.

"The percentage chance? I don’t know. I couldn't assign a percentage to that," Reynolds said at the time. "I'd say it's 50/50 maybe? We're really actively developing it and getting it into pretty good shape. What the hell month is it? August? Oh, next year? Probably pretty damn good. I'd say 70%," Reynolds said at the time. Even Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige revealed that Deadpool 3 has a secret spot on the MCU's 2023 slate, confirming that "the script is in the works and Ryan [Reynolds] is working very hard on it with our writers as we speak."

While it's unclear when Deadpool 3 will release, the first two films are now available to stream on Hulu.
