Neil Gaiman Reveals a Scrap of Good Omens Season 2's Script

Good Omens writer Neil Gaiman revealed a scrap of the script for the second season of Prime Video's adaptation of his and Terry Pratchett's novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch.

In a post on Tumblr, Gaiman revealed the piece of paper, writing, "As a Tumblr thanksgiving present, for those of you who are curious, here is some of the script for Good Omens 2. Actual honest Crowley and Aziraphale dialogue. Not a joke, not a hoax, not an imaginary story. It’s from one of the 'Dailies', the half-sized script that is going to be shot that day, that had languished forgotten in my back pocket, before falling apart."

"I am so happy to be back here on the streets of Soho, watching, every day, the glorious performances of Michael Sheen and David Tennant," Gaiman recently said of Season 2 of Good Omens. "I miss having Terry Pratchett's genius, but it does feel like we are still all walking around inside his head. It's been an absolute pleasure to have the brilliant John Finnemore co-write this season's story shenanigans with me, and to work with director and my co-showrunner Douglas Mackinnon as he steers the ship, along with our astonishing crew, who have returned to do it again."

Gaiman also recently shared some behind-the-scenes photos from Season 1, saying, "Loving shooting our Soho set in an indoors studio, rather than built outdoors on an abandoned airfield. Rain doesn't make people miserable, snow blizzards don't stop us from shooting, people aren't cold and grumpy, we don't have to hang lights from helium balloons to simulate daylight in midwinter."

Season 2 of Good Omens, announced on June 29, will feature familiar faces from the first season but also some new actors taking over previously established roles. Among the actors joining series leads David Tennant and Michael Sheen are Miranda Richardson, Reece Shearsmith, Paul Adeyefa, Gloria Obianyo, Michael McKean and Maggie Service. Prime Video also released the first still for Good Omens Season 2, where fan-favorites Aziraphale (Sheen) and Crowley (Tennant) reunite.

Season 1 of Good Omens is available to stream on Prime Video, while Season 2 has yet to receive a premiere date.
