Marvel Celebrates Eternals' Disney+ Debut With an Action-Filled Trailer

Eternals has just made its Disney+ debut, leading Marvel Studios to celebrate its latest pantheon of heroes' arrival on the streaming service with an action-packed trailer.

The clip, appropriately titled "Action," shows off the immortal superhero team using their unique abilities to fight back against the Deviants. Though only 30 seconds long, the trailer crams in as much pulse-pounding action as possible, highlighting nearly every Eternal. Kingo and Ikaris' cosmic blasts can be seen alongside Thena's prowess with her golden spear and crossbow as well as Sersi's matter manipulation and Ajak's incredible strength.

Following its theatrical release late last year, Eternals became the first and currently only Marvel Cinematic Universe film to receive a "Rotten" critics' score on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. Regardless, Eternals still managed to achieve a higher audience score, which sits at 78% as of writing. The film's director, Chloé Zhao, noticed the divided response and recently encouraged fans to join in the debate or watch Eternals for themselves now on Disney+.

For fans holding out for the film's home release, Marvel recently detailed a handful of deleted scenes that will be included with the film when it launches on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD in February. The scenes feature Phastos and his son Jack having a conversation that leads to a breakthrough, Sprite and Makkari sharing their opinions on humankind, Gilgamesh and Kingo connecting over movies, and Sprite confronting Dane about his relationship with Sersi. A fifth deleted scene was also revealed, wherein Makkari expresses her belief that humanity is worthy of being saved, surprising Sprite and causing her to remind her fellow Eternal that human history is filled with a great many atrocities.

Eternals is only one of several MCU projects released last year, prompting Marvel to reveal where the film sits on the MCU timeline. Using the timeline order feature on Disney+, Marvel confirmed the events of Eternals take place after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and before Hawkeye. which follows the order of release for those titles. There has been no official word on whether audiences will see another Eternals project on the MCU timeline, though Sersi actor Gemma Chan did recently tease her character's eventual return.

Eternals is now available to stream exclusively on Disney+.
